I recall that M Guigal said, "I like my Syrah to have a little Viognier blended in - it's like salt in the stew."
And he was right! Curiously enough, though, the Croze-Hermitage featured today is 100 percent Syrah with no co-fermentation. Maybe they're saving Monsieur's Viogner for the more pricey stuff? :)
