Great piece Robin! It's fascinating to think that the very conflicts that once disrupted Alsace have also shaped its wines, creating a blend of French and Germanic essence that's distinctively Alsatian. The journey of its vineyards, from the aftermath of wars to achieving Grand Cru status, serves as a testament to the resilience of the region and the indomitable spirit of its winemakers.

Kevin, so true! We were lucky to visit Alsace back in 2003, and it's a fascinating place to go. Scenic, great food, and we found the wine makers super friendly.
