We served a Latour 1er Cru at Thanksgiving and when both bottles were gone, dipped to Yohan Lardy Beaujolais blanc villlages (or is it villages blanc?). Delicious all, and paired so well with almost everything on the table. Selfishly I held back my 2018 Corron Charlemagne. Maybe next year?
Thanks for your report, Andrew. That sounds absolutely delightful. No worries on autocorrect. I find it saves me nine times for every once that it messes me up.
Also, very good question about Beaujolais. My guess: "Beaujolais-Villages" is the proper name of the appellation, so "Blanc" probably should come after rather than splitting it. But in fairness, it's Saturday morning and I didn't look it up ...
* Corton. Dreaded autocorrect!
