Rare grape, excellent Italian white
Considering my well known and often stated preference for red wines, it might surprise you to see me featuring a white wine in our first edition of The 30 Second Wine Advisor for paying subscribers.
But let me tell you this: La Spinetta “Derthona” Timorasso Colli Tortonesi is not your ordinary white wine. It’s rich and intense, playing a virtual symphony on one’s senses of smell and taste. It’s so interesting and complex that it’s difficult to pin down its details as first one sensation, then another, swirls past your attention in a twirling dance.
